  • December 3 2022 - International Day of Persons with Disabilities

    Chazen Museum of Art, Madison WI

    Thank you to the Chazen Museum and staff for hosting us for the 2022 On Display Global event in Madison, WI! We celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities each year with this community performance. Thanks to our lovely community movers who performed this year!

    LCPD Studio Farm, Oregon WI

    SEED is a weeklong event that creates space for pre-professional and professional dancers, as well as young dancers and community members, to join together in a celebration of movement. Our class schedule is always diverse, creating opportunities for everyone to have a fun and challenging experience and to learn something new, including our Creative Workshop, where participants work in collaboration with Li Chiao-Ping in developing a new work. This piece, along with new works created by LCPD company members past and present, will be presented in the end of the week concerts.

    Li Chiao-Ping Dance presented the premiere of the highly anticipated interdisciplinary performance event: Here Lies the Truth. This work was born from a commitment to telling personal truths: the lived truths as told by the collaborators and dancers of color. Here Lies the Truth explores positionality, power, identity, race, and justice.

    7DaysDancing, directed and choreographed by Li Chiao-Ping, is a 7-part series of free, crafted live art experiences that integrates dance in non-traditional performance spaces in Dane County. The events take place over each day of the week, spanning our 2021-2022 season to highlight dance’s omnipresence and availability.

    Offerings included: free movement classes, open rehearsals, discussions, workshops, performance events, and more!
